This October, Indonesia House Amsterdam opens its doors for a day of conversation, connection and root-level thinking.

“Akar Rumput”, the Indonesian term for “grassroots”, carries a multilayered meaning that bridges ecological science, cultural philosophy, and social impact.

Initiated by Pariveśa Magazine, Akar Rumput Forum brings together Indonesian and Europe-based environmental professionals, young changemakers and early-career, impact-driven practitioners for a programme built around one question: what does it mean to build things people can actually trust, in our cities, our systems, our stories?
